My day always runs more smoothly if I take a few minutes to plan it out the night before.
Over time, this exercise has become more of a ritual than a task. I detail tomorrow’s tasks and events, yes, but I also reflect on the day I have just had: what I enjoyed, and what I learned.

1. Tracking time as the day goes by
2. Updating my list of good things that happened
3. Rating my day out of 10
4. Reflecting on what would have made it better, or why it was great
5. Planning out the next day, depending on my anticipated energy levels
