You don’t need to start a new notebook.
I like to paste images over already-used pages in my books of scribbles, like this notebook I use for blog planning.
This way, I get to actual look at the images I’ve saved too!
Add sparkly tape.
Art directors on high fashion photo shoots often keep one element of continuity among pictures in a spread, such as shoes. My version of this is my signature sparkly gold washi tape. It ties together the disparate images.
Each page should represent your complete style.
I used to give each page a theme: one for more girly romantic images, the next for bold and punky. Really though, both are me, and the challenge of assembling personal style is finding the right balance. That balance starts with images in my collages.
Feature words and phrases that speak to you.
Tie the images together with inspiring words, phrases, and quotes that excite you.
Cuddly animals are totally allowed.
I like to tuck in pictures of lion cubs, puppies, illustrated budgies – whatever I can find!
