Why is brunch the most minimal meal of the day?
[It’s not because combining breakfast and lunch means you’re “paring down” your meals…]
The word “brunch” is usually followed by a sigh of longing. Why?
Brunch is about enjoying both food and company mindfully. Brunch has no time limit, or it shouldn’t anyway: instead we sit leisurely for hours, sipping delicious fruit smoothies [or cava, if you’re Caroline].
Why don’t we treat all meals like brunch? Perhaps we’re pressed for time, but there’s always time to taste the food on which we chomp.
Some things, like eating, are nearly non-optional. Let’s enjoy those things to the fullest. Let’s eat every meal like it’s our brunch.
