Heroines I Met This Week / 005
in a book // While I’m loving Haruki Murakami’s What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, I have yet to encounter heroines in it, so I’ll say I’m excited to read The Last Treasure Hunt after attending its launch in Edinburgh!

on a blog // I’ve rediscovered Sea of Shoes, one of my favourite blogs from high school, and one of the first fashion blogs I ever read! Still fabulous.

in a song // Mozart has been my favourite opera composer for a while, an organic love that started with me just happening to prefer to sing his pieces. So, I’ve been expanding my listening repertoire, and I an entranced by the Flower Duet from Lakmé, here performed by the gorgeous Anna Netrebko and Elina Garanca.

on netflix // The Monkey wanted to watch Zombieland on his birthday instead of going to see Cinderella. Gr. But the cast is so great: Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin as a zombie-fighting sister duo! Actually pretty good.

on instagram // @anniskk does the best breakfasts.

in the cinema // We eventually did see Cinderella and I loved it! Have courage and be kind. Life lessons and beautiful dresses.

in edinburgh // I attended my first blogging event in Edinburgh, and got to meet the ladies behind Edinburgh Bloggers after following them online for months! So lovely :)

in vogue // I love this gorgeous nature-inspired gallery.

on a podcast // Okay. I finally subscribed to Serial for our road trip and it has been an obsessive binge-listening experience. It is as good as everyone says it is. Just listen to it. My favourite heroine so far is Dierdre Enright, director of investigation at the Innocence Project Clinic and law professor at UVA. She is hard-working, straightforward, and optimistic.
