As I re-read Gretchen Rubin‘s The Happiness Project month by month [for the zillionth time], I thought it would be fun to pick heroines (and heroes) to channel each month for each of the themes she sets.
February’s theme is Remember Love, and here are some characters who embody that theme! I’d love to hear your favourites as well – be sure to leave a comment!
Lily & Marshall

These cuties from How I Met Your Mother have kept their love alive for longer than most TV couples, and manage to hold up a compelling storyline without cynicism. They are simply in love, unashamed, and adorable.
Jane Bennet

Jane Bennet in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is one of the sweetest characters in literature, and my favourite portrayal is by Laura Spencer in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
Sam & Suzy
This couple of gloriously weird misfits in Moonrise Kingdom abandon their lives of discontent to build a world for themselves on a foundation of nothing but good books, some wilderness skills, and their love.
Olaf
Frozen‘s huggable companion will even melt for the ones he loves.
Your turn! Which characters from fiction remind you to love?

P.S. Did you see my visual inspiration for an energy-boosting January?
