Mini Adventure: Hiking in the City at Sunrise

Mini Adventure: Hiking in the City at Sunrise

Edinburgh has many charms, magical twists, and mysterious walks. But my first sight of Salisbury Crags and Arthur’s Seat – a tumble of mountainous hills smack in the centre of town – made me think, okay, this is EPIC.

Fifteen minutes from my flat is the foot of these trails, so why not walk them more often? When the weather got nippy enough to provoke excuses against morning runs, I suggested to Heleen that we walk up to the crags instead. And while we’re at it, why not go at sunrise? [Since it’s Scotland, on this day the sun was not up until well past 8am].

I carried my Instax, which was not equipped to capture the hills’ beauty, so instead I like to Heleen’s photos of our adventure:

P.S. This walk only took up about an hour, but if your reaction is ahhhhh I don’t have time for this, here are some Ways to Find Calm in the Busy Girl’s Day.
