this season is chaotic. and cold. we run errands, send cards, choose presents, and attend parties – piling on extra activities like extra sweaters (and extra mugs of hot chocolate). yet, december does not affect puppies (or six-year-old dogs. whatever.). ours continues her routine of napping, sitting, and eating, disrupted only by the occasional call to duty when a fallen scrap of food in the kitchen requires her swift removal. we clothe her in a coat, but she has one of her own anyway that she wears every day. what a minimalist!
is holiday hectic-ness inevitable? or can we all live like puppies?
