Stair-climbing is excellent exercise, and doesn’t feel like doing reps at the gym. You need to get up there somehow, right?
Take the stairs.
You might be huffing and puffing the first time, but it gets easier, I promise.
Plus, you’ll feel like a superhero on the Tube in rush hour, marching straight up while everyone else queues for the standing side of the escalator. Mwahaha!
One of my Life Rules is to take the stairs whenever possible. I make exceptions in favour of saving my ankles in aching heels sometimes… but only sometimes.
